Hi,

I am interested in COD1 SP. Creating brushes and using the COD1 Radiant is relatively easy for me. The only thing that I cannot understand is the trigger friendly chain. I have seen some maps without any trigger friendly chain and the friendly AI is ok. Or am I missing something? I used to map for rtcw. COD1 SP is still a total mystery for me. I have already created a map for COD1. I inserted an info_player_start. I compiled the map and it is excellent when no AI is involved. If I put one allied AI. The COD1 engine does not load the map. Is it possible to use definitions in the scripts instead of trigger friendly chains? Is there a documentation for the GSC scripting and other necessary requirements that I am not aware of? The available documentation and tutorials cannot explain my questions. Why does one map have trigger friendly chain and another map does not have this trigger friendly chain? I would appreciate your notes and explanation.
I do not know why my thread was assigned to CODBO SP mapping. I wanted to assign it to COD1 SP mapping.

I moved your topic for you.

I would suggest reading through the tutorials in both the VCod and UO sections with regards to SP mapping

If the map is failing to load - ensure that you are starting with SVCHEATS enabled and are in DEVMAP mode.

if the map still doesn't load, then there should be an error reported that you can report back here. as well - post your scripting for us to look at / debug

bear in mind - this game is well past its life cycle - so replies will not be fast - most modders have moved on to work at game dev studios or to other interests; we keep the site up as a reference for niche modders
