I discovered a small but interesting and irritating sound bug.

Mission - Fortress Stalingrad > Downtown Assault (during the SP Soviet campaign - Part 3 Mission 1),

Where? - Near the beginning of the mission after you destroy the tank, in the apartment buildings you and your comrades are shooting the Germans in the other apartment building directly opposite. There are 2 MG42s being fired at you (one inside the building on the ground floor and one outside to the right of the building behind the sandbags).

The sound bug is this:

One of the German soldiers in the left upper window (second window from the far left on first floor) is firing a Kar98k. However, the sound of his Kar98k is AS LOUD AS the Kar98k that I am also firing. All the rest of the AI weapon sounds are firing at the correct volume that they are scripted as set in 'soundaliases' > 'volumemodgroups'.

(Please see attachment above - I have attached an image for more clarity of this description.)

The problem exists regardless of any sound mods.

It may seem like a small issue but I have a very keen attention to detail and like everything to be running perfectly, so I wonder if anybody could investigate this and see if they also experience the same issue? I guess it will give you a reason to play the mission again.

I've just tried it and indeed i could hear one sound louder then the rest, but it was mp_40 sound. Doesn't bother me, killed that bastard in a sec and moved on [biggrin]

Okay, I see, hm, interesting - seems like there is a definite bug there but a shame that it's considered probably too small or tricky to iron out.

Nonetheless, thank you for playing through this and providing response.

But somehow i think the Germans on the ground floor are responsible for that, cause they both had mp_40 and kinda shoot at the same time.
Not sure, but i payed attention to kar98 sounds and couldn't hear any difference.
