Small (maybe huge) update for today. My map now has useable doors thanks to SPi! The starting cabin, and all the village's houses can be accessed by entering doors. To open you just press the USE key (F by default). Hopefully this brings some MoH allied assault vibes to some. [cool]

About the AI: will try to figure something out eventually. Maybe I'll save it for last and work on the FX and sounds now. I feel like laying it off until the last minute/update. As it turns out, I'm pretty terrible when it comes to AI. [drink]

Hello and welcome back to another update on my map! The end is nearing and the map is coming closer and closer to finishing! [rocking]

First part of the update is the sounds that I recently added. This consists of music and sound effects for various things on the map. For the music of my map I decided to pay homage to the first Call of Duty and Medal of Honor Allied Assault and use some music from their soundtracks. The following tracks I used are here:

The sound effects are for the fire, picking up documents, opening doors, german radio, etc. Little details.


Second part of the update is the effects/FX that I've added to my map. As seen in the pictures attached, I've now added a fire and smoke to every house that contains a fireplace. These are the only 2 effects I've added right now. Unsure if I'll add more. Maybe snow? That could kill framerate. [ohwell]


Finally, it's time to update that list of things to do for my map:
1) Terrain
2) Spawning AI
3) Objectives and saves
4) Effects (FX)
5) Sounds/music
6) Making a .IWD file

All I have left to do is add the AI and some small details here and there and the map will be finally finished. [pimp]

"Comrades, welcome to the final days of this project's development. Release is getting near! It's been a tough and grueling journey, but we've almost made it. I wish you all a little more patience for the project is expected to release August 13th 2017. Prepare your bayonets and be prepared."

Excuse my soviet banter above, hello and welcome to another update on my map! The map is getting closer and closer to finishing as I continue to add the AI in gradually. As stated above, I'm trying to release this map a year after I started this thread. Hopefully I'm punctual and make the deadline. [cool]

THE UPDATE: apart from adding AI, I've recently added a loadscreen image for my map as well as a sun moon! The attached photos here show the finished result. Thanks a ton to SPi for greatly helping me and speeding up the map-making process.
