Hello guys,

so I'm working on a mod which will be part of a new server my brother and I will start up very soon.

It is basically AWE UO + some minor modifications. I also added Tiger tank made by me.

I have question considering scripting. Well, I would like to simply create a certain delay between when you press F and the moment you actually get out of a tank. I'd like to expand that time to, for example, 2-3 seconds. Is there a way I can do that and apply it for all other tanks in the game?

I used to have some knowledge in scripting some years ago when I was more active, but I forgot a lot of it. Is there anyone willing to give me some advice on this? Or just create skeleton script for it?

I have some idea on how it could look:

- Wait until the vehicle is started

- Do the following while the vehicle is used:

- Wait until the [F] is pressed

- Wait 2 seconds

- During that time print on screen (I believe it is "iprintln" command): "Exiting vehicle..."

- Exit the vehicle

This is the _tankdrive_gmi.gsc code:

Thank you!

Ivan

I haven't looked at the script as I'm on holiday at the moment

But maybe you could add something like this before the part of the script that calls the player exit the tank

inprintbold "exiting vehicle";
Wait 2;
