Hey guys, my loading picture needs something other than checkers, how do I add a picture for it? My UAV needs one too. When we do an airstrike my map is larger than what the airstrike area represents, how do I scale up my airstrike area?

Here is a basic tutorial on how to create a minimap Here

Here is a basic tutorial for adding a loadscreen. Here

You can edit your airstrike height in your main map .gsc file using the following line:

Code:
level.airstrikeheightscale = 3.0;

I'm not sure what default is, but I assume it is 1.0. By bumping up where the planes fly, you can get them to not fly through buildings, etc.

Thanks DeekCiti! What I mean is not that the planes are not high enough rather that the minimap if I select all the way to one corner it bombs 2/3 of the way there, my map is big ;-) so I can not bomb the edges of the map.

If no minimap image is present, the game cannot define where to bomb correctly. It is natural for this to happen if no minimap image is present. If one is present, you may have to tweak the image as so that the player can move on the minimap in exact position and not more than a few pixels off.

Tweaking takes practice and can get rather, cumbersome, but it can be done. Research the tweaking process, as there are many different avenues to achieve this.

I also believe that the bombing was never exact, but more of a rough outline on where the bombs actually Do explode. Maybe, considering your map size and shape, it may be useless to try to fix this or make the corners bomb-able. I really don't know without actually working with it.

You can change the way the minimap looks ingame by using the following snippet in your main maps .gsc:

Code:

setdvar("compassmaxrange","1500");

Tweak the number to get desired results. It basically zooms in or out based on what number you define.
