It's been so long since I have mapped, I forgot the file structure. I installed the tools and have made a test map. Got my lights, global intermission, spawn point. When I go to compile, it says that it can't find the map. Don't we need to create main/maps/mp and when you compile, the bsp should show into one of them.

Cod4 creates a fast file where everything is stored in.

not exactly sure what you mean there, but the .map file is located in .../map_source folder. if you saved the map and you can't find it there, try checking Virtual Store, maybe it moved the file there. (google how to disable virtual store).

and bsp will be made in .../raw/maps/mp after compiling it. you don't need to make anything in .../main CoD4 uses RAW folder
