July 16, 1944 Beumont-Hague, France "After taking the small village a few days ago our advance into the Hague has stalled. The remains of the 301st SS panzer divison have been cut off, but they are not giving up yet. A few hours ago our flyboys hit a german convoy heading for St. Seymor, they reported that a tiger was damaged in the run. The brass wants those of us in the rangers to secure St. Seymor and capture that tiger before Gerry can get it running again. Corporal. Bill Taylor D company, 2nd ranger Bn."
