I'm trying to turn nwg_foytan into a base assault map, it's starting to look like it might work, just wondering if anyone got any tips for me as in do's and don't. It's a 1st for me and I like to get it mostly right :)

Are you making the map bigger? Right now it seems a bit small for BA but it could work with 1 or 2 bases and no tanks. Tris count is high and with BA gametype you may experience some lag issues. Perhaps you should re-work your outdoor portals a bit to cut this number down. Just some thoughts.

I have extended the map and all 6 bases are placed, I'm trying to add extra buildings and cover outside the original map and to avoid bottlenecks.
After the release of nwg_foytan I spend a few days trying to understanding the connection between portals and the sending 0f bytes in gamestate, after a few test map trials the penny dropped. I think I can keep the tris low.
my plan was and still is to send the map to you Gomerpyle m8ty
to have the final say if I should release it.
I never forget what you did for me, What a guy :)

I have known Gomerpyle for many yrs now, He's probably to blame for me still trying to make a playable map, lol
I love mapping, just wish I had some natural talent, but it will never stop me from tinkering.
