I managed to make a turret work for COD2 with an MG42

but in cod 4 i want a turret with weapon RPD.
I added the required key values but im not sure if they work
i mean as a model i will put "weapon_prd" ?
and weapon info???

If I were to make a suggestion. I would first successfully get a SAW turret in your map before moving to the RPD, this way at least you understand how it works first. I'm not entirely sure how SP works, so maybe what I'm about to say won't even apply at all, I don't know. I never did an SP map.

I was able to add the RPD as a turret in an MP map in the past. Not sure about SP, but you can take what you can from this an apply it to SP. Here is what I did. I created a misc. turret, and gave it this info in the entity editor.

model weapon_rpd_mg_setup

weaponinfo rpd_stand_mp


Obviously, the "export" "angles" "origin" and a few other values will be auto generated. You can edit, top, bottom, right and left arc to your liking. The weapon info itself, you can replace the mp with sp, but, you should first make sure the file for that weapon even exists first in the weapon info folder.

Then, in the Assets CSV, I added the following:

Of course only add in whatever stance you are using for your map. I have all 3 because I used all three in my map. I'm pretty sure that's all I did to get the weapon to work ingame.

I also successfully added the minigun, mg42, and the RPD as turrets, all using the same method. I first got the idea when I was searching through the weapon info folder, and saw the weapon files in there for those guns, so I tried to get them to work in MP, and did. Good luck!

i knew most of the steps.
