Hi TrikX, A funny thing happened the other night. The light was flickering fine, then I created a vision file, it then stopped after I compiled. Since then I have tried deleting all traces of the vision file. I deleted all the effects files and remade the effect twice, but no joy, it just will not work anymore. Last night I downloaded again the file you posted and replaced the effect, but no luck. I was wondering if you might have any idea what has happened?

Sometimes what can happen is the map is trying to create too many effects/sounds/entities. What ends up happening is that effects or sounds stop playing due to an overload. Make sure you have on Developer and Developer Script, checking the console to see if you have an effect overload somewhere. What you can also try is setting up a testmap, and creating the same effect to play there to make sure everything is correct.
