OK
I'm finishing a map I started making ages ago
I finished making it, and decided to test
It told me there was an error because there was 2 skybox textures (sky/chateaunight and sky/bomber)
I thought it was weird because I only added sky/chateaunight, so I thought maybe I had hidden to skybox texture all those months ago because it made it easier to make the rest of the map
However, unhiding everything (it is Shift+H, right?) showed there was nothing hidden and all the layers (all 1 of them) were visible
I was confused but then I realised if I opened the .map file with notepad I could manually change the texture the brushes using sky/bomber have
Ctrl + F "bomber", "sky/bomber", no results
Ctrl + F "chateaunight" comes up with results, however
I decided to delete my sky/chateaunight skybox and see if it compiles/works, and it did and the skybox (which apparently doesn't exist according to graydient/the .map file) was using sky/bomber

I've no idea what's going on
I've no idea how to fix it
Help?

What you could do, or what i'd do is go in to your map, hide sky box textures, drag a whole brush over your WHOLE map, then right click, select - touching, then save selected as a new map, now this new map shouldn't have a sky box in, then just create your new sky box and compile, see if this works?

Thanks, Ukdjaj[thumbs_up]

Okay, just tried it, still doesn't work[sad]

But I tried something else afterwards that did work
My map has a crashed B-17 (made up of the external fuselage + the interior bits from the single player mission) in it... I deleted that and now the map is fine
Don't quite know why, my best guess is that the collmap for one of the parts has a skybox with it? I'll have to check

EDIT: just checked, yup, I was right
No idea why a collmap has a skybox but it did and now I've fixed it

EDIT again: just realised this is especially weird because I've put in this crashed bomber on other maps and they've been fine. I mean directly copy/pasted it using the same parts in the same places each time. I don't even remember editing the collmaps for them since when I originally made them, and they worked fine then

Well that map was for Fabio (RotU/Zom) since he asked me the other day to make a new map for RotU because people wanted one
Then I remembered I had a half finished one which I started last time he asked but gave up because I couldn't be bothered so I just finished that

Which reminds me, I still have a half finished map I started making for your server (Originerious told me brecourt was good so it's similar to that)
It's got 2 useable Flakveirlings and a V1 rocket the player can launch. It follows a set flight path for a bit before coming down and blowing up some buildings outside the map
I don't remember what you said ages ago about FX/scripts etc on your mod but would this work without breaking everything?
Did we ever get hq_pearl, hq_blitz, and hq_basdock to work?
