In Coduo my mouse freezes in a fire fight for a few seconds making the game unplayable.
been going on for wks can't fix it.

Bought new mouse, still fails
Was using xp but now using win7 ultimate, still fails

installed new usb ports card, still failed.

any help please

By any chance, check:

Options/Performance/Sync every Frame

needs to be set to "NO"

Also make sure that the network connection shows: "LAN/Cable/xDSL"

Other than that, if you use a mouse with a software running?
Either its not configured properly or uninstall it and use a standard mouse.

Also, is this through Steam?

No none of them problems and I don't use steam.
my old mouse was a razor diamondback and when the problem started and I could not fix it I bought a standard mouse.
the weird thing about this is that it only happens when I am in a fire fight.
Coduo is the only game I play and the only game I want to play
so for me it's a major bad time.
Oh, naturally it's the same in vcod

Is this on the same hardware pc? or is this a brand new pc you installed Win7?

If the same hardware, install COD on another PC and verify there if issue is still occurring.

Either way, check any running processes that may cause issues.
Mainly Antivirus, which should include exclusions to your game folders.

If you have UO, you have COD1 installed as well. So does this occur on while playing on COD1 too ?

Any special apps installed ? hopefully not any hacks..

Good point about the antivirus, I have not played uo since my house move a few months ago because I need to sort out a comfortable playing area, but I did install microsoft security essentials in-between :)
will uninstall it tomorrow and test, ( can't do it now, pc in bedroom & old trout will kick off if I start yelling )

Vcod is Cod1, never liked the name Vcod, had to look it up when I first read the term, sadly it's stuck.

I use Essentials and have added the Call of Duty folder to the list of exclusions. No issue at all with running the game on my side.

Do you have UAC (user account control) set to the lowest or set to the default?

Do you launch the icon as "run as administrator"?
Any settings in the properties of the launch icon, like "run in compatibility with Windows SP3"?

Tried my boys gaming mouse & that's working ok,
maybe I just bought a faulty second mouse.
