I would like to edit the dds files within it but can't extract or unlock this blk file.

any help would be much appreciated.

You might need the .dds file viewer for photoshop...i have it and i can open any .dds file with it...other than the blk file i have no idea....

yer i can edit dds files but they are all tucked away in that blk file which i cant get at, thanks,

Tried and didn't manage to open it in any way.

Are you sure it's a file which you can open and there will be picture files inside it?

Its the skin file for racing game "woo2002" made by Ratbag. In that blk file is the skins for the racing cars in the game. I would like to edit those skins but it ain't looking to good at all.

Thanks for trying to help me out, i appreciate it very much. I think Ratbag have gone to great lengths to prevent these skins being changed or even accessed.

I have the sister game to woo2002, its called "Saturday Night Speedway" and the games structure is exactly the same. It has a blk file but a clever fella made an executable program that somehow extracts & replaces the dds files within the blk file. So i use this tool to extract a skin, i edit it with adobe dds plugin, then use the tool to replace the original dds skin file with my customized one.
