Hi,

I am currently in a clan and we have a server and a forum site. However, I am thinking of going it alone and wonder if anyone knows what this would entail. I found a company called multigameserver, which looks ok for a server, but they don't mention a forum site in their advert.

What I really need, if it exists is an idiots guide to starting your own clan/server.

Does anyone have a link to such a topic.

I don't want to ask our clan leader, as I am only just thinking about it, and don't want to cause any bad feelings, especially if I decide it is too much hassle.

U can create forums for free in a free domain. www.wix.com etc

I would think a lot about this before making the leap.
Setting up a new server/redirect/voice chat/forum/website is easy
or at least easily learned.
You can spend a hell of a lot of time running your own clan and holding on to clan members is not like the old days now.
If your happy where you are maybe you need to ask to get more involved if your not already, tell them you got the itch to run rotations and be involved in the admin side.
If that's not possible tell them out right, I need to try this and if I can't do it here I have to go and learn myself.
That's the best way to avoid bad feelings. If they don't want friends following you then its up to them to get you involved fully.
For less than £10 a month you could have a complete clan set up, cheaper if using free sites and stuff. ( based on coduo only ) don't know about other games.

Morgawr, yeah, I already do a lot of that, but it is a bit more complicated, which is why I was thinking a complete break might be good. I understand what you mean about it being more difficult nowadays, not so many people playing now etc. I am just finding things a little frustrating at the moment. Perhaps I'll hang in there for a while longer.

I broke from BBz BloodBoyZ clan many years ago and made
[F.G] flag-grabbers clan, Basically, we were being forced to play maps and gametypes no one wanted to play by admin who no longer played the game.
The break turned out real bad sadly, especially as I loved the clan I left and so many players followed me.
but it had to be done and I never totally regretted it.
What I'm saying is, it's better to go than stay in a clan that aint't doing for u.
complications are sometimes just a prison sentence.
