Hello.

Nice to see "CoD2 General Gaming" forum.

I started this topic because a played online and a lot of
people are complaining about low fps.

So i did go to the console and did set the command:
\cg_drawfps 1

My frame rates where 20 fps.

My Computer:

AMD Athlon XP 2200 GHz.
RAM 768 Mb.
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (128 MB) DirectX9 Compatible.

So next my point i did go to tweak my graphics settings and
did notice that CoD 2 whas set to DirectX7.

Then i adjusted this and throttled it up to DirectX9.

My frame rates did drop almost to ZERO.

Also can someone tell me something about these settings
in the graphics menu:

"Texture Filter"
"Anti-aliasing"
"Sync Every Frame"
"Optimize for SLI"

Your videocard is compatible with ditectX 9 software modus not hardware modes so you can beter play in directx 7 mode.

This is made for COD 2 aspecialy , hope this help for you !

"Texture Filter" = more or less beter grapics
"Anti-aliasing" = make it look smoother no more hooks on the texture
"Sync Every Frame" = everything will be checked put it off
"Optimize for SLI" if you got a SLI motherboard and got 2 or more videocards in your system then you can turned it on otherwise one videocard then it's no !

Never learned alot about hardware stuff.

try turning down the texture graphics under the textures icon

that may or may not help

i dint bother reading the rest of the post

I could swear the FX5200 can be run in dx9. That was the first family of cards that were capable. However, that card is godawfuly slow to run in dx9 so its not suggested.
