I already attempted plugging in headphones. and yeah, I thought about sending the files over for someone else to compile or maybe I'll have to try it on my father's computer.

Did this problem ever get solved? If so, how did you fix it? I get this error when trying to build the fast file. Result... no fast file!!!

As i see it, it has something to do with steam. So try disconnecting your internet cable/wireless while compiling so it runs offline. But the best way of fixing it, if it still doesn't run is to install CoD and Mod Tools on your fathers comp and compile it, then leave the CoD on he's comp so he can play some real game, not just patience!
