Explo32's BUG REPORT [tongue]

Sorry for the massive number of images, hope you have fast Internet connection [tongue]

Ok. Here is the list of bugs, which aren't shown on the printscreens:
- at the start, you get into an ambush, but when you 'wake up' (after the second blackout), there are 3 bodies on fire that disappear immediately - it looks strange
- and then you have to save your comrade so there should be limited time to do it, but you can wait and wait and nothing happens while the two Germans with MGs continue firing at nowhere
- there are some windows where you can't climb using space
- I had problem with the objectives, in one moment there were 2 A's and after destroying the further guns and the tank and leaving the first three untouched and then destroying the one in house with ladder the objective remained on the compass (as the second 'A') until I destroyed another gun
- I couldn't blow up the gate, but I suppose it was made intentionally - I used a bug to access the rest of the map and noticed it was not ready
- the graves look good, but most of them had helmets hung on the crosses like this:

- the German soldiers who are using MGs and the mortar don't react when you are close to them until you are in front of them or shoot or don't react at all (the mortar's crew)

Now the rest with images:
- you can walk through the guns and the mortar










-you can walk through the rocks and the barrels and the trunk:












a strange ladder stuck in the floor:


- there is a ladder in one house which you can't climb - it's unrealistic



-there are numerous places where you can jump on sth and see some hovering terrain or trees or access areas you should not or just see some transparent surfaces:

When you jump on this wall in certain way, you can see that the top is transparent:




Solution: apply some texture to the top of the wall or make the higher part even higher and make the brush, that aloows jumping over, narrower.

You can jump on this barbed wire:



When you are on the bridge, you can see some textures cut in the distance:



- there is also a fence near the house next to the bridge, you can jump on part of it and see hovering trees (I also noticed some secret room with a mortar :) ):







There is some transparent wall that ends suddenly and you can go behind it and access the areas behind the fallen trees:










You can also jump on the wall in some places and get to the other side of it:



There are two sides of the cliff where you can crouch slowly near the barbed wire and get on it:











I don't remember but it's possible that you can also jump over the barbed wire in this part apart of walking on the edge of the cliff:



The texture inside the bunker is bugged:



There is a tent near the bunker, you can walk on the top of it and jump on the cliff:







In the near, there's a fence you can jump on and see some things you shouldn't:





Ok. Now the part located further, near the other end of this barbed wire:






Further, some crates, you can jump on them and see... you already know what :)




They are next to an interesting house. You should make it able to use space to jump outside the windows in the ground floor. Apart from that, The wall on the second floor allow to get on the wall and see some transparent surfaces, you can also jump on something sticking out of the wall and see the same:










There is also some transparent surface above the door and a window on the second floor which looks as if you could use it to go out but it's impossible, so maybe you should allow it or just put some muntin in the window:




There is a fence near the graves. By jumping on it and jumping up near the wal lon it, you can see things you shouldn't:









Besides that, there is a building which overall looks good, but...

...you can jump in the fire and you don't die, there is also a wooden frame, you can walk through it:




When you walk up the stairs, everything looks fine, but there's a possibility of jumping on the other part of the second floor:




And some minor bugs:





And the roof (pointless texture on the side of it):




The camouflage of the tank doesn't block the player:



And you can get stuck near one of the tracks:




Jumping on the fence here gives you another opprtunity to see transparent surfaces:




Some problem with the lighting near the mortar:


Some problem with bonfire in another building:





A bug near the graves:





I wasn;t able to blow up the gate...

...but there was a tank nearby...



... by jumping skillfully on it, I could access the blocked part of the map :)



Near the gate, there's a truck that may cause problems, because player can jump on it:





...and on the nearby wall:





Parts od the graves are hovering over the ground:



And there is some space under the wall behind them:



After going upside the stairs behind the tank, you can jump on some roof and see some things outside the map:





In the 'secret' part of the map there is a bugged texture:

And there's a building near which I died because the script bombed me or there were mines, I don't remember :)


I didn't explore the rest because I assume that you are going to finish this part soon.

It took me over 3 hours [rolleyes]

PS: It would be nice if you could find some russian people willing to record the talks of the soldiers, because text without sound is a bit unrealistic (but I know it may be a problem). Apart from that, you could make the prussian civilians more 'civil', because now they are german soldiers without guns, you can use some models from the 1936 spanish civil war custom campaign (there is a mission where civilians are hiding in a metro and they look realistic, like civilians), you could also edit some of the civils and give them heads of this russian female soldier, so the civilians will consist of both sexes.

Anyway, very nice mission, I hope you will finish it, because it has great potential and I'm always glad to help ambitious mappers like you [tongue]

PPS:
I didn't pay much attention to the AI, perhaps I will check if everything is OK with it in the future.

WOW! Thanks for the thorough feedback. Took some time with my mobile internet to load the page:)
1. Gate: You have to complete all objectives and kill all enemies to make it work, but it may be buggy. You can kill all living germans on map by pressing L on keyboard (I think I left the function in).
2. Most models which you can walk through are caused by compile tools not compiling collmaps. Thats should be easy to fix.
3. I made camo nets intentionally noncollidable because I got stuck in there a couple of times.
4. Ladder stucking out the floor in the small building- shoot the floor:)
6. I used this photo for graves:

Three comrades from 11/506 , KIA in Estonia on August 24, 1941.

Also church and buildings around it are actually meant as background as it would take too much time to make that part playable (and I'm already having some weird graphical glitches).
When I made the civilians part I actually had the Spanish mod installed and used its models:)
Thanks again for report. I will start improving map ASAP. Lots of invisible walls to make [tongue]
PS. When I tested the map unpacked on my pc, everything worked just fine. But after putting it in an iwd file, lots of things simply stopped working.

Ok. Further bugs (by the way, I noticed that the 'civilians' in the start have officers' body and ponytails xD):

- when I type in console "developer 2" and try to run the map, I encounter an error:

And a glitch near the house with the secret :P




Even funny, but when I leave the cellar, the lights are blinking everywhere. Anyway, I would improve the "animation" of making the entrance to it. The floor just disappears, I would add some effect of flying wooden particles or sth.

I really like the details. The map looks so nice, but I guess you must have placed hundreds of trees [crazy]
It's also realistic, but some places (like "the cliff" near the mortar) need some minor improvements.

By the way, I've found some new stuff to improve:
- barrels near the AA gun (you can go through them).
- the AA gun can be used by pressing F, but then when I try to leave it, I get stucked [tongue]
- you could make the bombs appear after completing previous objectives, I'm sure it's possible (all bombs behave like this in the campaign)
- three of the 88's are represented as A's on the compass
- nothing happens to AA gun after destroying it with the bomb
- the tank in the end of the video (the last in BETA version) can be as well destroyed using Panzerschreck, but objective gets completed only when you use sticky bombs

PS: You could just make the ladder, which I mentioned among the 'bugs', look damaged, so that it would be justifiable why player can't climb it.
