Activision’s Q4 Conference Call is going on right now, and in their slide presentation they have listed a ‘Call of Duty 2013′ game. Activision did not elaborate any further on what to except or who the developer is.

UPDATE: Activision CEO has just confirmed that a new a Call of Duty game is in development for 2013:
“The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation and we expect the new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher.”

As far as some hints on next-gen consoles? ATVI only stated:

“There is increased volatility this year due to the ongoing console transition, which makes predicting the future more challenging than during normal uses in the cycle. For Call of Duty, consistent with our past practices, we are planning for the mainline release in Q4 to be down versus 2012.”

Safe to say call of duty won't be ending anytime soon, think of the revenue this game rakes in. Im sure they will release several more maps packs after this next one

Let's just change some weapon models and a couple lines of script, make some new maps, repack it and throw it on the shelves again. [rolleyes]

They grossed over $500 million in the first 24 hours of BO2 release.

It's not even like you can say the campaign is good, I mean yeah they did the whole CYOA thing, but it's still run-n-gun let's blow this big poo-poo up!

For me CoD4 was the last good one IMO, for both campaign and multiplayer.

Maybe since the new gaming console versions are due out about the same time perhaps Activision will finally just go console only. Personally I could care less anymore. They gave up on the PC community a few years ago and they have been steadily drifting further to the side of the consoles.

CoD's been dead for some time now, at least from a PC standpoint.
