Hi all

i have been making maps for a while. mostly for BF2 and Loooong ago for SOF2.

I have always told myself to wait for BF3 to really get into mapping, until i found out yesterday that BF3 has not and will not support modding/mapping of any type.....

talk about peeing all over my campfire....

So after some more research i figured out there really are only 2 developers that still actively support modding/mapping:
valve and the COD guys (activision-is it still them?) if you want to map/mod for anything newer than 2 years old

As i havent played much portal (never liked puzzle games) or team fortress (which just looked like a smaller scale BF game) and the halflife series (while being groundbreaking in many ways) just didnt do it 4 me. (played HL2 and Episode 1)

So : COD it is then.

Question is : Which 1 ?

01 ) Do COD 4 MW maps work in MW2 +/ MW 3 ?
02 ) or is it a seperat version of Radiant for each 1 (my guess-as theres different weapons + objects etc)
03 ) What has more players playing - its no point making a map for a game few people play
04) and of course Black Ops 2 just came out - Do I wait to map 4 that instead?

As you can see - too many choices here : MW,MW2,MW3,BO,BO2,W@W

You can only map CoD 1, UO, CoD 2, MW, W@W.
BO has no mapping tools,only modding stuff. Other CoDs dont support mapping/modding. Also BO2 probably dont support mapping/modding and every CoD has its own version of Radiant.

So which 1 is best?

so that means theres nothing "new" to map/mod for.
As even COD MW is more than 2 years old now surely.

Actually, CoD 4: Modern Warfare came out in 2007.

It is a bummer that Activision has ruined this franchise.
