Hi there,

I am thinking about how can i make a thing called Killing Laser [cool]

How do i make a trace from a model which is visible for example, a red line that you pass it kills you? A killing trigger is a bit different because i want this thing to be placeable by players to a wall. I have already made an effect for the red line. I bet it would work as the same way as the Sentry just without the turning function [lol]

So my main question is that: how to allow players to only put that thing to a wall facing the right direction? (I can do the sentry thingy :D)

if i recall correctly, there is a spotlight fx that you could potentially edit to red that would create your visible laser - use your script to move the "beam"

from there you script to return the vector angle that you are sending the effect, and if a player position is the same as the path of the laser kill the player.
