sorry i cant posts codes that help people anymore although every respected modder agrees it helps with multiple other codes they could use in the near future or has already used besides these moderators. i just posted a whole tutorial on how to make a sentry gun which is used in newer call of duty titles and they deleted it.

they are cheat protected which means that unless you are running on a non-pb server they will pick you out ...

developer scripts and debugs are always cheat protected...for obvious reasons

stop trying to justify cheating - and stop witch hunting to try and prove an invalid point

Nope, you are wrong. Only if the pb server got this check on it:

These cheat protected settings are changeable by cod script.

Mitch is correct here StrYdeR. Now that you have stepped into the area off 'if this code can be abused to cheat I will delete it' Your going to have to read up on alot of the call of duty cvar documentation ;)

@Mitch* - you have proven my point

now...
any further comments about aimbots not being cheats and or scripts posted about aimbots will subsequently be deleted.

any further discussions trying to rationalize cheating will be deleted

ANY code posted that can be used for automated self aiming and or hacking will be deleted and the poster will be banned.

There was a time when I would have immediately taken sides with liltc and mitch, because in the past, an auto aim script in a GSC file cannot be run on a stock server and cannot therefore be constituted a cheat. To my mind, in the past, a "cheat" is something which tries to circumvent the normal running of a game, without the other player's knowledge. A mod, however, is run on a mod server, and if players go to that server, they should expect weird things to happen. That's the nature of mods - they are NOT the stock game. If they don't like it, they can leave and go play a stock game.

However, times have changed. These days, we have to be very careful what we give away as free knowledge, and who might pick up that knowledge. If we modders show newbie coders how to create auto aiming scripts in a GSC file, those newbies can take that knowledge and create code which can run in a modded host lobby for either MW2 or MW3 via a GSC script injector. And those aren't mods. They are cheats. Pure and simple. The divide between the 2 has been crossed.

So, I see both sides of the argument here. I tend to side with the administrators here, because it is better to err on the side of caution than to be party to the creation of cheats run via a GSC script injector on a modded lobby for MW2 or MW3. I even see auto aiming code from meatbot and PezBot being used in these types of cheats.

We need to be very careful with the info we give out to the public, and in particular who is asking for that info, and what they might possibly do with it.

i do see where you are coming from Tally and i see where they are "trying" to come from. and its true we really shouldnt help noobs with advanced codes but we were all noobs one before and compared to you to your eyes im probs still a noob because all the mods and goals you achieved in cod2 and etc. but the fact of the matter is, this guy can only use it for his mod. he cant go on other servers and use his for fun "aimbot". he can only use it on his server and his mod and if he wants to have fun with what he makes who are we to tell him thats wrong? i could understand if he had a legit aimbot yeah all of us would be on his ass about it saying no ones going to help you. but its just a mod and these topics shouldnt be locked and these posts shouldnt be deleted. iv talked to just about everyone respected on this site on the cod2 forums besides you and they all agree its wrong and if they continue with doing all this they are going to break down whats left of this community and you will be the only respected modder still standing on this site and Rasta i liked his maps to be completely honest.

I am getting the error: bad syntax: line 52:

if(isdefined(closest);


tried with: if(isdefined(closest));

didnt work. any ideas?
