Hi all, and thx for the great job, it helped me a lot.

Here's the problem: I wanna change teams for my TDM custom map, SAS instead of Marines, Spetnaz instead of OpFor.

I tweaked around my .gsc and zone file and didn't work, then I searched the WIKI and applied this upgrade:

http://modsonline.com/www_modsonwiki/index.php?title=Call_of_Duty_4:_team.gsc&redirect=no

recompiled, reupdated and still nothing, it only change the voiceovers and the in-game hud, but not the choose team/class menu and, more important, the correct models.

quite a noob at scripting,
somebody can help me?[banghead]

First you need to define the soldier type in your map script.

game["allies_soldiertype"] = "woodland";
game["axis_soldiertype"] = "woodland";

if you will use "woodland", you will need to add the line "include,mptypes_woodland" in your zone files. But if you will use "urban" instead of "woodland" you will add "include,mptypes_urban".
Okay.

For run your map with teams correctly you will need to run with a mod.I use "custommaps"

Sorry for the english!!

Thx for the quick reply!

I forgot this simple passage..
I still can't get rid of marines and opfor models, as I said, zone files are ok.
the customMaps mod came with ModTool itself, so I already installed it.

I'm wondering if I must edit the _teams.gsc file (located in mods/customMaps/customMaps.iwd) with proper values, such as
"mapname" and others like "marines","desert"...

maybe is a stupid and obvious problem, but still noob at scripting, sorry!

Thx a lot!

The _teams.gsc file in the customMaps mod has already been edited for use with custom maps. So, there is no need to do anything more with it. Just make sure you launch your map using it as the mod (folder).

Please post both your map's GSC file, and your zone CSV file. Let's have a look to see if we can't identify the problem.

Solved! Thank you guys!
There was a little problem, I forgot to delete the two .ff from the zone/english folder, before move them in the usermaps folder, sorry!
In fact, I couldn't connect to others pc when I ran a connection test, because cod was still loading .ff frome zone folder.
Now everything run perfect!

Thx a lot!
