Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the l4d2 hammer tool, so I do not know how to describe it that well. So I'm having some issues with my l4d2 hammer when creating a map. Some of the models will not show up when I run the game. I do not know why it does not show up. I do not know if I setup my l4d2 hammer correctly and cannot find a place that can give me a decent guide. There's a message box at the bottom when I open my l4d2 hammer saying, "Couldn't find custom font file 'resource/Halflife2.ttf" Then it lists a lot of messages some containing errors. I'll post the screenshot as an attachment I used this site below, to set up my gameconfigs for my l4d2 hammer post #1: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2412003

-Sorry please move this to l4d2 section, I thought I posted it in that section but did not.

Thank you for the help!

Have you ran the game at least once?

Also I see you followed that tutorial on the steam forums. Did You have a first time running problem and you followed that to fix it?

I used the game configs that was given in the link above to the steam forums. I have run it once and most of the models were showing but a few were not showing when I was running the game, but could see the models when I was in hammer. There was a message box as I mentioned before, I made attachments in my first post. I'm not sure if it's related to my l4d2 hammer configs.

When using the left 4 dead 2 authoring tools, you should not need to edit/change any configuration files. The only reason you would need to follow that tutorial is if you encountered the First Time Configuration problem. If you did not then I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the editor (make a backup of map files) and deleting the GameConfig.txt and using steam to reacquire it.

The reason you get those message error messages is because it it trying to load content that it cannot find.

Could you post GameConfig.txt?

When you install the left 4 dead 2 authoring tools, you do not need to edit any config files.

Check out this video tutorial on how to install the editor.

which config file are you talking about? After I install the l4d2 authorizing tools, you need to setup hammer, is there a good guide for that? And it remains the same that some models are not showing when I test the maps. I know its when I set up hammer.
