you cant, you can make an effect though that gives off light. and spawn that effect.

the one and only way to do that is to (like said above) play a custom effect that has dynamic light in it, but this effect is only visible in DirectX9 - so about 50% wont see the light because they have dx7 instead of dx9 in cod2 there are some ways described to spawn an script_origin and give them a 'lightvalue' - but this isnt working!
