id Software™, Raven Software and Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) have confirmed Earth’s invasion of Stroggos with the announcement that QUAKE 4™ PC has entered manufacturing and will begin shipping to retail stores nationwide on Tuesday, October 18.

The long awaited sequel to QUAKE II®, QUAKE 4 enlists gamers in the role of Matthew Kane, a member of the Earth Defense Force’s legendary Rhino Squad, to penetrate deep into the heart of the Strogg war machine and engage in a series of heroic missions to destroy the barbaric alien race.

Well it's about time that it is finally done

I'm looking forward to making a multiplayer map for q4 after D3 kinda flopped when it comes to MP anyway.

They consistantly pointed to SP, and about the SP, and the SP is good, and nothing like SP, bla bla bla...

I think the main downfall of MP in Doom3 is Xbox w/ COOP vs PC w/o COOP, I am content with remaining pissed about that forever... because if there were ever something game related to hold a grudge about, that is definatly it...

However, the bottomline is simple, good marketing left alot to be wanted on the Doom3 engine when it comes to MP, and that's on it's way, and will make alot of money...

I honestly believe Doom3 got what little MP it has stricktly for historic purposes, nothing more...
