Hello dear community!

While I was editing some weapon's damage values, I saw that there are 5 different values that change the damage:

damage\90
minDamage\90
(meleeDamage\150)
maxDamageRange\2000
minDamageRange\3000

Those ones are the values of the kar98k_mp.

Could somebody explain me, what the difference between damage and minDamage is, and what the DamageRange is?
I cannot imagine when is going to be applied a minDamage instead of damage, and for what that Range is.

I would be very grateful for any help :D.

from shooter to maxdamagerange the damage will be equal to damage. from there up until mindamagerange the damage will be lineair dependent on distance between damage and mindamage.
for example: at 2500 units damage will be the exact middle between damage and mindamage. as both damage values are equal on this gun, the example is not as illustrating as id hoped.

Oh, thank you very much for the quick answer (even if it's so late :D)!

I have a last question: there is writen 90 points/somethings for kar98_mp damage. Is this a percent, or what is it exactly?

its not a percentage. Normally you spawn with 100 health, so for an instant kill the 90 gets multiplied by the damage multiplier for the hitlocation.

And where are this damage multipliers defined?

I mean, is there a way to know: 90 damage * X = Y, being X this multiplier, and Y the actual damage it causes?

Also, for the damage multiplier, look at this:

locNone\1\locHelmet\3\locHead\3\locNeck\1.5\locTorsoUpper\1\locTorsoLower\1\locRightArmUpper\1\locRightArmLower\1\locRightHand\1\locLeftArmUpper\1\locLeftArmLower\1\locLeftHand\1\locRightLegUpper\1\locRightLegLower\1\locRightFoot\1\locLeftLegUpper\1\locLeftLegLower\1\locLeftFoot\1\locGun\0

As you can see, the locHead\3\ will cause any damage to the head to be multiplied by 3. If normal damage was 90, then a shot to the head will cause 270 damage. To the neck it would cause 135 damage, and to any other part (except for the gun) it would cause 90 damage.
