yes, bots take server slots and won't free them again until you restart the server

#1 console_mp.log moved to scriptdata/log... So you now can read it whit codscript or anything else...

#2 Bots in PunkBuster-enabled server...

1. from script? interesting... does it mean that you can use all file functions on files, if they are located in the script_data dir?

2. oh right, bots didn't work with ob - good job :)

so how did you do this? log file path is a cvar afaik, but pb + bots?

1. they haven't moved the console_mp.cfg file to a different folder - you can't do that. It is impossible without modifying the MP executable. What they have done - like a lot of mods - is move mod logging to a custom folder.

2. You cannot enable Bots on a punkbuster enabled server without modifying the MP executable. Punkbuster will still run on a server even though it is effectively "off". All that happens when PB is switched off is it doesn't operate in the usual way, i.e. it doesn't kick the bots for having a ping over 999. So, seeing PB messages such as "PunkBuster Enabled" means nothing. It doesn't mean it is in operation on the server.

In that case, to answer your question - is it legit? No, it is not. You are breaking the terms of the mod tools ULA which states that you MUST NOT modify the executables.

Can an admin please lock this thread?
