Hi everybody,

I am making a new deathrun map for CoD 4.

I am already made the spawn entities, and the traps' places, and the activate buttons' places and everything, i just can not make the traps working.

I do not know what things i need to do for a trap to be working.

I think i need some trigger around the button, and target the traps with it, maybe, but i don't know which trigger i need, and I don't know the script too.

Can you help me?

PS.: When I join the activator team i got a big red line threw my screen, and i can't see anything. How to solve this?

i can help you to resolve your problem of big red line.
first go to compile tools and run your map with the Enable Developer and Enable Developer Script activated.
close your game and go to compile tools and click the button Update Zone Files, a window will open, now copy the lines from the right column to the left and click save. Now build fast file and run your map.

i can't help you with the traps because i don't know what kind of traps do you want.

Actually, the easiest way to solve the big red line is to first determine what teams you have set up in the maps .gsc file. Let's say it was desert models.

Open the zone file and put the following line in, on the right side of course.

include,mptypes_desert

This line replaces the 10+ xmodels the zone file gives you. Less hassle, cleaner zone file.


The same would be done for Woodland or Urban. Just replace "desert" with woodland or urban. [thumbs_up]

Death Run doesn't need additional models for teams.

You should test your map with Death Run mod so im providing you with simple command line to launch DR im developer-friendly mode. Save following text as file, named "runmod.bat" and place it in deathrun mod folder.
