I have resently been making another map and been putting in alot of effort into this when i got an error saying MAX_TW_VERTS (12) EXCEEDED

Now i've read the common mapping errors and i know the area of where the error is but its in a bit where theres loads of small bits for detail, therefore its a real pain in the backside to sort. I don't really want to re-do this section that took so long of my time however i checked over the entire area and fail to see what the problem is, i have no interecting blocks yet thats what the error is suppost to mean.

Am i wrong in believing what this error is or can anyone help me with more information? Because i'm sure you understand how annnoyying having to re-do part of your map is.

Thanks Ras~

You maybe have a brush, that intersects too many other brushes. Try to delete it or divide it to smaller brushes.

This is what is stated in the common mapping errors, i double checked my map and theres not an intersecting peice on there. So it really confused me so i sat down and did trial by error deleting until the map stopping saying the error. After a long time i eventually found it to be on my water tower and ladders. See this picture.

These are not intersecting with anything although many brushes are touching them. It took me ages to find but i got there, with which am i right in believing that the actually error would be not too many brushes intersecting but too many brushes touching a single brush?

they are intersecting... (just not with an overlap) cut the rail of your ladder into 2 pieces, and try compiling again, I had this issue with pillars along a wall...

My opologies, i believed intersecting was overlapping.

I put it into serveral parts which still didn't work. even deleting all the steps and replacing them with a single block texture showing serveral steps, it still caused the error.

Eventually i beat it but only after i moved the rails along one block to make the ladders slightly thinner. Being in the same place just kept giving me the error so maybe it just didn't like the spot i was putting them in. There must be something i am missing however the error has stopped since i moved it so that just left me Confused.
