Parents are supplying restricted or banned computer games to their teenage children, a report released yesterday shows.
Almost two-thirds of the 15- to 17-year-olds surveyed had played games which were either R18 or banned outright.

One-third of those who had done so had been provided with the games by their parents.

They did not need to release a report, everyone knows, if your not old enough, you get your parents to buy it.

Unfortunately games influence people in many ways, they should not however be soley accountable for law breaking kids who have happened to of played a certain game.

Parents buying games for kids, well i think most people do not relise that the 18+ certificate is there not just so kids can't buy, it's also so they can't play it.

Alcohol (UK) is sold to 18+ but that does not make it legal for a parent to buy it for a minor, I have got my p's to buy me video games that i could not buy because of the age certificate. But I'm starting to think all this video game related lawsuits would end, if they just added:

"It Is Illegal To Provide Age Certificated Games To Minors" on to games cases.

If they put a statement like that on game cases then it wouldnt make a difference... People know its illegal but they will still do it... Any can any under 18 truthfully say that they have never ever had alcohol? In most cases no...

I can't talk, i just had a beer, an i have a collection of 18+ games and films (not porn, *glares at Tim* you have a dirty mind) and i'm only 16
