Anyone know of a tut that will explain to a noob like myself how to do this? Or maybe have the time to do a tut for me?

Well, that didn't work. I copied all files over and noticed you had to rename a the surfs and parts with a D at the beginning... but then it still wont work.

Loading model foliage_cod5_hedgerow04...^1ERROR: Couldn't open techniqueSet 'techsets/mc_ambient_t0c0_dfoliage_sco.techset'
WARNING: Could not find material 'mc/mtl_foliage_cod5_hedgerow02'

ok, in this case you gotta re-convert the textures. (Models should work though.) You may use Regolith's Xmodel Exporter or wait for Tom_BMX's XmodelUtil

Yea I converted it but still get that error about techset and missing material. Arg... someone lend me their magic wand! lol

What really confuses me is that the one error says the missing material is mc/mtl_foliage_cod5_hedgerow02.

Isnt the mc/ saying its looking for that material in a folder call mc?... Which when I do a search in CoD5... that folder does not exist, there are only the materials and material properties folders.

Maybe if someone has CoD 5 and CoD4... they wouldnt mind attempting it themselves and see what the outcome is?

I reconverted everything without errors (used Blender to rescale, Paint.NET for proper TGA from texture DDS)

You imported the texture in radiant with AssMan, if you get errors like missing material just rename your material.

Thanks Sevenz... wish I could have figured it out. Even messed with it again last night just trying to convert the dds's and was seeing mipmap errors, then got past that and was getting something about needing to be uncompressed... blah!
