I have recently got annoyed playing bf2 because of this problem. "You have lost connection to the server" Its does it every 5minutes. Or less. I cannot spend any time on the servers that i join apart from my own. Which is hosted by my computer. Which ain't 24/7. And don't tell me to get a better internet connection. Because my mate holds a 512k Internet connect and he can play the game for whenever or how long he wants. I've already tried getting contact of a person from EA but it failed cos i was told to get a better internet connection from some other dude.

Now please, i know someone is smart enuf to help me figure out my question and make me play longer!

P.S: Single player is fine.

In a way.. the EA rep is right. The problem you are experiencing is related to your internet connection to the server hosting the game.

However, I find it odd that this is the second time today I have heard of someone having issues staying connected.

So number 1... check your internet connection and also try playing on some other servers with lower ping to see if you can stay connected. If you can stay connected, then your issue is between you and the other server (literally.. the internet connection that is).

number 2... this may be an issue with EA. They are doing something trying to ban servers and such from stats and that may be creating an issue in connection. I would consider doing some searching online for other's that are having issues staying connected over the past two days. Maybe this is an epidemic.

I haven't noticed the problem since I only play locally on the lan rather then the internet.

Buts its just annoying. I am running 1MB internet connection and my buddy is using a 512k and he can connect to a place in japan for hours on end. Mostly all my pings are around the 100 even on servers that our not far away from me. I also got a ping of -10 before, and i was connecting to someone next door running his server.

It could then be a routing issue on the internet in general. Your connection to that server probably takes a different route then that your friend takes since you are not in the same place.

The internet is a tricky thing. You have to contend with your hardware, your ISP, and everything between you and your destination. It's a wonder it works at all. lol

anyway, if you can, also try restarting your hardware. pull the plug on your computer, modem and router, wait a few seconds, then plug it all back in. If it's a simple error with your equipment, this will sometimes flush it out.
