Hey all. Have seen this posted before in the forums, but thought I'd refresh it. I am having issues with my terrain patches no showing up in game. But in radiant, they are there. I have tried the shift-L approach then hitting s to L-map or natural on my patches. No go. I have re-built my patches and compiled with the same problem. Here are some pics from radiant and in game. Any help would be great!!

Cheers,

Dirk

Are you getting any errors when you're compiling the map?

My first guess would be lightmap or alpha texture.

Press shift+l to enter lightmap mode and see how your terrain is looking, it should be a even checkered pattern

Just wondering, would you happen to have any caulk brushes underneath/overlapping? Which texture are you using?

yeah... my suggestion is what Mystic said. You probably have the colormap layer just fine, but your lightmap layer is probably stretched/distorted. Youll need to shift-l and lmap natural your patches then and hopefully you will see a fairly even checkerboard of white and gray squares.

Thanks guys for the responses. I did get it working after a bit of monkeying around. I had done the shift-L thing before and it hadn't worked. I had put a structure on the beach, which when it was removed solved the issue. My guess is that it was the caulk texture on the bottom that was causing the issue. Again thanks all!!
