Hello.

I whas making an tutorial recorded it with camtasia and this
software works fine.
But in the end if i want to produce my video i have several
options.
I want to produce to wmv format because you get small
file size and everybody can view it in windows media player.
So the capture of my desktop shows excellent but ingame
capture shows poor quality.
I have produced it as an avi format and i dont have this problem.
But then i get a huge file size of 400MB for 20 minutes of video capture.
I am working with an resolution 1024x768 both desktop
and game.

Thanks in advance.

Well I use CamStudio because it free but I get the same problem as you, so his is what I do. I downloaded Windows Movie Maker and inport the avi file then I go and make movie, pick my settings and end up with a small wmv video file.

Lo.

I have tried exporting both with Camtasia and Windows
Movie Maker.

But with Windows Movie Maker i cant export in the resolution: 1024x768.

So i recorded the screen with 1024x768 in Camtasia and then
imported it in Movie Maker.

Any help much appreciated.

Ok this is vaguely why it is jumpy in game. Your computer is trying to produce a video, then reocrd it at the same time while trying to compress the video.

Also, get a program called Virtual Dub to compress your avi. Get a codec like xVid to compress them. You get a small file and a reasonably good quality file. The downside is that your veiwers need to have the codec to play the video, but you can just hint that when you realease the tut.

Hope that helps,

Thanks "supersword" for responding.

Will download "Virtual Dub" and i shall have to make
compromizes about the resolution 1024x768 or lower resolution since "Windows Movie Maker" has poor
export options only maximum of 720x576
[confused]

D**N why am i born as an perfectionist. [banghead]

OK i get to work with your information and will see about the
codec and distribution.

Thanks again.

why are you trying to output at such a high resolution anyway? That's like HiDefinition. You shouldn't need more than 720.

to me.

So i get starting on making some video tutorials for the community.
