Ok, I have recently actually gotten a map team together and we are working on our first "Team" map... And I have a few questions about getting started with this thing.

1) In Brent's Tutorial Here He said that

What tutorial does He/ Anyone recommend that I read first for MP scripting?!

2) When I make custom textures for my map, I have loaded them into Radiant, and they work fine and dandy in there, but when I compile I don't see any of my textures. I have all of my custom textures in a folder called textures in my Pk3 file, but they still do not want to show up in game.

3) Inspiration - I have seen a couple of topics about this earlier, but am needing some help with this myself. What do you search google for lol. I am watching the Military Channel right now but not seeing anything special... So, where do you guys get all of your Awesome inspiration?

1. A quick glance at Brents tut, I believe that is for single player. There is scripting in mp, but not many maps use it as it is not needed.

2. Are your texture dimensions a power of 2?
e.g 512x512 or 1024x1024? If they are not, make them...

3. I do not map full maps (I did do half of one, but grew tired of it). I got my inspiration from another game (H&D2). But maybe google "ww2 battles" and etc.

1) Well I am looking for How to script things like a draw bridge, and doors, that sort of thing.

2) Yep, if they aren't you can't save them in dds format.

3) Thanks Ill try that.

Alrighty, Thanks. I looked through the TuT once and am confused... Ill work through it though. Can someone explain the Texture problem to me?!

Ok, I am working on making a door that moves... And Where do I put the GSC file for me map/how do I call for it.

Hi there, try my little demo map for door scripting.

I included the .map file in the pk3 so that you can load it in the editor and get a better idea of how its made.
There are several types of doors in there and all the .gsc's are listed in the main .gsc. From opening the pk3 you will be able to see where to place your .gsc's
