Got this error when walking on a trigger that spawns 3 AI's

But error doesn't turn off the map i press "Esc" to turn error message down press "back to game" and i continue playing the AI is spawned but and work everything fine but they don't do anything they don't walk to the nodes that they are linked to go [confused]

I have mapname.iwd with maps folder only and i have only .gsc and d3dbsp and d3dprt files.


Any ideas why i get this error as i see its from spawner trigger or something... As when i walk on the trigger it spawns enemies but they dont go to their nodes that they are linked to and also i get error then i press back to game and i go there and i see that enemies have spawned and they shot me and all stand behind a wall but they didnt move to their nodes same with allies they didnt go to nodes either they just stand where they were placed/spawned

Do you have any non-stock IWDs in your main folder (besides your map)?

The real error is usually at the top of the runtime stack, but judging from screenshots you posted... one of your AI's .name attribute is probably an empty string.

Yeah that was probably the problem that i had other files, forgot to take em out,

P.S. now i got new problem i folowed this tutorial http://modsonline.com/Downloads-dl-3215.html and my AI's spawn when i cant see them but they just stand where spawned they DONT go to their linked node... and there are few extra pathnodes for them to walk by, I dont understand it was the same tutorial file i downloaded and retextured walls, floor and moved the AI's and Node around but i havent edited anything else, They don't do anything i tried using + set connectpaths 1 but that just gives me error "D3DBSP File is not existing or in .IWD file" ???? Ofcourse its in .iwd file and it is existing and i recompiled map many times, i mean with out the connectpaths 1 it works but they Dont move when spawned?? weird! Its much easier in cod4 and cod5 with the entity keys and valus those color groups here its different and little weird! I did what tutorial told me,

Trigger_Multiple Link Trigger to AI and Check Spawner and Forcespawn checkboxes then link AI to node.... they dont do anything when spawned... I tried with out Forcespawn its same! :(


Getting anoying made a nice map and cant make anything work now... So i removed map and tried cased box to TEST AI they dont do anything anyways... :( [banghead][banghead][banghead][eek][duh][ohwell]

also i tried having my mapname.iwd file in my mods folder and in main folder its just same thing...


i dont put map files in any iwd my mod is based in many iwds like main.iwd weapons.iwd mapname.iwd and if i make second it would be like mapname2.iwd well mapname = Title/Name of the final product of mapfile.

For using + set connectpaths 1, your .d3dbsp file must NOT be inside .iwd. Simply leave it inside maps folder and play it with
+ set connectpaths 1

Help again, It worked but if i make a new box map my self and try to make same characters and all it doesnt work...



Trigger_multiple

Trigger link to AI
Place AI check Spawner and Forcespawn
AI link to end node (i.e. cove_crounch)

thats it... and i place it all so that when I walk on the trigger i can't see the spawner.

i compile and leave the .d3dbsp and .d3dprt files in the main/maps folder and I remove all files from main/ folder (I mean mods not dev data files) and then remove all mod fs folders. I set + set g_connectpaths 1 or how it was... and it launches game fine loads map all fine but when i walk on trigger they dont even spawn??

Before i used the already created .map file from tutorial download, i just remade the path for him...




(What I think its because the mp_test has .gsc file and .csv file in the raw/maps/mp and raw/english/zone folders) and my map is called mapname (for testing purposes) I know script is always important but i'm not sure if i have it or not I am going to check and see if it works then.
