Hey all. I love mapping for this game, lots of fun, and special thanks to PoW and JDawgg for all the help in teaching me. I've only been mapping for a few days so go easy and give me some crits if you feel the need.

I hope you like it.

Lo.

For your first map and only mapping for a couple of days
it looks good.

[thumbs_up]

Just keep in mind how to place your objects.
What i mean taking cover behind the sandbags and getting
a headshots aint funny.

So now you have to go for detail and get focused on them.

Think we can expect some nice maps from you.
Because you are a fast learning guy.

Have fun.

Yeah well done mate! It's a steep learning curve isn't it? :)

One bit of advice for you concerning your terrain, after you have stretched and altered the meshe shapes bring up the surface inspector
and use the CAP or Natural options on the meshes to refit the textures. It will get rid of that stretched out look.

Yeah I knew about that I think half way through the map but my vertices are really messed up so I'll take my time on my next map. Thanks for the advice guys.

tiz lookin good man,, keep at it.

In the 3rd screenie, try texturing the edges of the floor the same texture as the little retaining walls above. (nit picking) dont worry. (select the edges of the floor and the low walls together and texture them the same)

Much, much fun can be had on a simple little map like this, i can testify to that because my Son and his mates have played and had great fun on just a single brush as the ground and just one little building and even with just a couple of spawn points.

Good stuff. [rocking]

Edit:- oops nearly forgot, the best advice I can give you is to back up your .map file after every test and succesful run. Just simply reload into the editor and if you were happey with any changes you made, then exportas to a temp location then get on with building. Back uo, back up, back up. can save a lot of tears if the stuff hits the fan. [wave]
