Hi guys
I am working on a map but it looks dull, I am trying to add lights to it but I don't know how, when I right click 2d grid and do "Light" the entry says Non-displayed light. When I render it, the lights do NOT show.
Please help

Thanks in advance

i never touched the original call of duty on the whole mapping or modding side but i know alot about cod2 and from what i see from alot of the call of duty series is that radaint and scripting all are pretty much alike so if you asked me i think its because it has no radius defined for the light. and what i mean by that is when you select your light you should have Key: radius and for value put how big you want your light to spread so try Value: 600

i dont know for sure if you need this but if that still dosnt work there is something called def. which is "the falloff definition of the light" i personally use tungsten_lamp alot on my maps so what you would do is for the key you put Key: def and for the value you put Value: tungsten_lamp . i dont know if that will work for call of duty but it works for cod2 so give that a go and good luck!

You can alter then radius, im a bit rusty with v.cod now, but im pretty sure there is an inner and outer radius. You can also add a carona too give that glowy effect.

if you have not messed with any of the stock light setting then when you add a light it will always say non displayed light in the entity box.
when you add the light in the 2d box and you look at top view does it look like a target? outer ring inner ring then the light as the bull's eye?
also how are you compiling the mapfile?
