hey i was gonna try my hand at doing some weapons modding, but i dont have the kind of money to buy LR3D and i cant find 3ds max anywhere to download the trial version, anything else i can try?

i was under the impression u could only use 3ds max 5 for cod plugin...

Lo. The "skelout.dle" is only for "3ds max 5".

No.. the only 3d Max plugin which comes with Radiant and Graydiant is for 3dMax5

Google for "3DStudioMax 5 trial" or something similar.. should come up with something.
