Ok here's my feedback on New Town. It's kind of stream of consciousness as I play.

- Love the intro, good read at the beginning
- Good use of VO (and sound editing to get what you wanted)
- Crawling feels a bit long
- Seemed like Gaz didn't play an anim on the door
- Lighting on everything is flat, I understand that you probably were going for functional lighting here. Thing is, you did all of this cool custom geo and the lighting doesn't do it justice.

The old rule about lighting is - "Bad lighting can make amazing geo look like poo-poo - amazing lighting can make bad geo look stunning."

That being said, kudos to you on all this custom and functional geo.

- You're using a ilnprintbld to give a direction/objective... but I see what you're going for. It could look cleaner if you used hint text, like the text that appears when you are hurt and told to go in to cover.
- Great job on setting up the minigun encounter (and the gun), like the falling brass
- Good job with the music cues
- Love the ground combat/mortar section
- Love the helicopter with the grenade launcher (I have to use that thing in a level, it's so much fun)
- Died in the heli, wish there was a checkpoint for right when I start gunning in it :(
- It's really hard to hit enemy heli's with that grenade launcher


Love the credits and the outtro!

thanks for all the feedback.
the VO was the hardest thing to do.
and i had to find a cheap and easy way to edit sounds
without actually editing them and repackaging them
as new sounds so i wouldnt have to make an iwd.

srry bout the crawling. i originally was gonna put more stuff but i
started working on other scenes.

gaz didnt kick the door for u? hm...thats a first.

yea im not that great with lighting on this one. I still havent played
with lighting that much.

i have also not worked with hint text but i know wat u mean. I hated using
the iprintlnbold too.

falling brass?

the whole heli with grenade launcher was a new experience with me. ^ ^;
i didnt want to put a checkpoint in the air as i might have gone through some unforseen problems such as the player is injured during the save
and then dies right after it which would then just loop over and over. thats why i put it right as you take off. thats also why i put very few ai's to kill
and just one challenging heli in there ;)

thanks overall for the feedback. did u hit any script bugs?
