a couple questions. 1st, i can't use any of my triggers. it keeps saying i don't have em or it can't find it. don't remember which one. 2nd, i have 2 types of textures right next to eachother and when i look at it from the top it looks ok, when i look at it thru the bottom i look right thru it. i have made this already and that one looks ok, but this one is messed up.
thx in advance to any answers to any of my questions

well got the texture thing done with, don't know wat i did but figured it out anyways. still don't know the answer for the triggers tho. any help will be appreciated. thx in advance

hard to give you any help, as it is hard to tell what your problem is [ohwell]

for the texture problem, it is a guess, but i think what you mean is about the 'cull' part in the shader. most textures have front cull, so are only visable from the front, but some have cull disabled and are visable from front and back. if you look at the names of the textures in radiant you should see 'nocull' or similar for the names of the ones with cull disabled.

for the trigger problem, i have no idea. you will have to give us more details of what the actual problem is before we can help you. such as if there is an error box that comes up, note down exactly what it says and then come back and post it up. most problems like that can be found in the common mapping errors, but you need to know what the error is before you can find the solution

for the textures i was using asphault1 and stone bunkerwall_base. i could c the asphault which was on the top, but when i looked at the bunkerwall i just saw thru both textures. so what i did was erased the bunkerwall and placed the same texture again and it solved the solution. I right click and highlight triggers then select any1 of them and in the bottom window it says "CreateEntityFromName: selection could not be grouped" sry i wasn't more detailed about my problem earlier. this also happens to gametype_trigger.

If your just starting out and need the common trigger things like flags and inf, download the Common Prefabs and import pieces you want into your map, or you can just download them to see how they are setup...

thx MYOB, these are the very things i needed. but i still don't know y I couldn't use any of my triggers, but now that i have these i don't have any more probs. thx again

i believe in some cases, u need to create a brush first, select that, then right click and select trigger .. than that brush will turn 'green' (in my case) to show it is a trigger..
