The question often comes up amongst a few of us, who here in the community considers themself a modeler? The question came up between Welshy and I two days ago again when we were talking about the idea for another game/mod.

My experience in modeling is not what it once was. I used to use Lightwave quite a bit for work, but over the past 5 or more years I've pretty much been dedicated to programming and design. Now my experience is pretty much limited to importing the model and making it do what it was intended for. Sometimes I even find myself in Motionbuilder refining motion captured animation data.

So I am here to ask the question out loud.. who here models? Be it organic and/or inorganic.

I model when I need to, I'm definitely more of a coder but my uni course teaches modelling. I don't think there are any modelling modules this year so it may be the end of that [casanova] but here's some stuff I worked on

Nice work Dobby.
I've done modelling in max and maya, mostly organic. I would of liked to do some models for COD but never had the right version of maya to get the plugins working.

I also model in my free time. So far I've modeled some cars, some objects for my CoD4 map (which I kinda abandoned, sadly), an MG42 and now I'm working on modeling a small part of a New York neighborhood.
You can see more HERE (the site is in Romanian, but the pictures are in English :P ).

I can model but i'm doing that very rarely. I'm busy with writing my own C++ 3D engine in OpenGL.
