i am trying to do my own decals and they ar not working right i can get it in radiant but when i put it in a map it shows up white can anyone help

As with all custom textures, you have to run your map through a mod in order to see the texture in game. ModWarfare does the trick.

we are running a mod server and as for the converter i ran it thur radiant

Well, how exactly did you create the texture ?

The right way would be to open Asset Manager, create a new material, put your texture in the color map field and then convert it.
Also, for decals, in the material properties, you should change the sorting to "Decal top level 3" (or something like that) and the blendFunc to Blend. The rest of the options are OK on the default settings.

Next, copy the IWI file from CoD4/raw/images to a folder named images and archive this folder into an IWD file.
Then, put this IWD and the two FF files in usermaps/mp_yourmapname and run your map through ModWarfare (this MOD supports custom textures 100%). If your texture shows up, then it compiled correctly and you can use your map on the server.

In assman, under Framebuffer operations, check GE128 under alphatest.
