When ran from the Compile Tools it says: "Error: Couldn't play stream 'sound/\binnen.mp3' from alias 'binnen' - Unable to open file." When ran with the mod, it gives no errors, which seems obvious as developer script isn't enabled, but then it doesn't play the sound.

And soundalias file needs to be compiled into the fastfile? I thought that was done automatically? It does look like it sees the soundalias file, just not the sound files as it says "'Couldn't play stream 'sound/\binnen.mp3'" And it isn't able to find binnen.mp3 because it's looking in /raw/sound, rather than in the .iwd, for a file called '\binnen.mp3' which doesn't even exist, as my file is called 'binnen.mp3'.

Though I have not the slightest idea how to make it look in the right place, for the right file.

So everything with sound that's said in my zone file is this:

Code:
sound,common,mapname,!all_sp
sound,generic,mapname,!all_sp
sound,voiceovers,mapname,!all_sp
sound,requests,mapname,!all_sp
sound,mapname,mapname,!all_sp

/raw/soundaliases/mapname.csv file says:

Code:
name,sequence,file,vol_min,vol_max,pitch_min,pitch_max,dist_min,dist_max,channel,type,probability,loop,masterslave,loadspec,subtitle,compression,secondaryaliasname,volumefalloffcurve,startdelay, speakermap, reverb,lfe percentage,center percentage,platform,envelop_min,envelop_max,envelop percentage

binnen,,binnen.mp3,0.99,0.99,,,360,6000,local,streamed,,,master,mapname,,,,,,radio,nowetlevel,,0.1

Ok, I can imagine that it starts looking for the file in /raw/sound. But I seriously don't have the slightest idea why it would look for '\binnen.mp3' rather than 'binnen.mp3'.

When compiling the fastfile it now also says:

"Sound file 'sound//binnen.mp3' not found"

"//" ????

Why in gods name does it come up with two / characters rather than one?

I guess when ran from the mod the game does look at the right place for the file: in the .iwd, but doesn't find it because it's looking for a file with a differend name: one with a slash before it. But once again I have no idea why it does that at all. The problem is either in my zonefile or in my soundaliases file, and I have a strong feeling it's the zonefile.

I was thinking about running the .IWD from my main folder without the mod, but how do you include it in your zonefile then?

Surprise, surprise, it's working.

It wasn't the zonefile, but the soundaliases. When I changed it to this:

Code:
binnen,,music\binnen.mp3,0.99,0.99,,,360,6000,local,streamed,,,master,mapname,,,,,,radio,nowetlevel,,0.1

it worked fine. Now it's 2.30am in the morning, but what the heck. ;D

A very big thanks to Sevenz! You're my new hero mate!
