1. Im just working on a CoD2 Mod and want to get a custom scope overlay in. I created one in Photoshop and have done all the Alpha Channels. Now this is the result i get:

What are the proper settings in AssMan (Asset Manager) to make such a scope?

2. Also I want to change the blood overlay (when youre hurt) - what file is it I have to edit / create?

well im guessing that huge white spot is suppose to be transparent [lol]. anyways what i love about modsonline.com is that they have great tutorials on almost anything about call of duty.

http://modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-390.html

shows you the correct settings to use for transparency. also what i learned from a friend is if your doing transparency always save the file as a .dds to use in asset manager.

and for the blood overlay... don't be lazy just look around in the stock iw files and you will find it.

I dont know about cod2 but I generally save the raw images as targa. Saves that extra step of exporting the original as dds. Also fewer issues if I need to go back and edit the image. Maybe doing dds in Photoshop is easier. But I dont have Photoshop. [casanova]

@Samuel - I tried it with both tga and dds and both gave me that result so i guess I messed something up in the AssMan

@liltc - gonna try that tomorrow when I get home and will get back here if it does not work. Thanks for that tut somehow I did not see it when looking through the tuts [banghead]
