i just reopened the D3 editor started makeing a small map. made a room and it says this when i Bsp it to play

i have my map files saved to

C: Program files/Doom3/base/maps

there are no leaks or that would be the problem. and i have a player start with light so there should be no reason i can think of that it would not open. my game is not updated tho but that shouldnt matter.


its does the same thing when a make a small brush with a player start and a light. same problem.

yeah i have had the same problem a couple times. ive no idea what causes it, and i cant remember how i fixed it, im not being much help here am i :P

I think i saved the map under a different name and it worked. im sure somone else might be able to offer more help, but for now try saving it as something else.

also i had a similar problem when i put a trite (spider demon) too close to a wall.

my folder is in c:/doom3/base/maps

and all i type in console is

map xxxxxx"the name of map"

and it runs peachey unless i have a problem in my map im makin of course but it finds it right away
so u should move ur folder basically thats why i dont put game folders in that gay progam files i hate that folder for some reason lol just bugs me

i have mine in E:/programfiles/doom3, and i still only have to type map whatever in the console :P

no its not that it will not let me BSP it. or play it. it loads it then fades to menu. i have no leaks. it just say

i cant edit and now paly it. wtf.

hmmmmmmmmm m m m m m mm m mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmm im tryin to think if ive had that problem or not u may have to reinstall doom 3 or go thru ur map and look alll of it over ill c if i can remeber or come up with ne thing later

it wont let you play the map because its not there to play, it starts to create the map, then goes, whooaa, summats wrong, and stops, giving you an error. its puzling me because i know ive had it before, i cant remember how i fixed it but i didnt reinstall doom3, its something to do with the map. i know that much at least

the worldspawn may have gotten deleted
open ur .map of ur map file ina wordpad and look at the first lien to c if it is stil there

just open your map and re-'save as' in directory. I get this same problem when I start working on another mod and then go back to a different mod to map.
