Hello guys !

My modifications of the wrm mod are close to be ended, and I want to configure it to have scripts only server-side.

I know the images, materials, menus, etc have to be client-side, and scripts can be server-side, that I want to do.

The few tutorials I found aren't complete, or doesn't work.
So I ask here if someone can help me.

I have make a .iwd with all the client-side files, another .iwd with only .gsc files, but I don't know what to do with that last .iwd. Do I have to unzip it ? Where do I have to put it on my ftp server ? Do I have to modify my .cfg file ?
My tests didn't succeed for the moment.

Can you help me ? [wave]

So, on my ftp server, in the directory of my mod, I have to create a directory named "maps", and in it another called "mp", etc... ?

I try this, but when I want to restart the server, it doesn't start. [banghead]
Don't I have to change anything in my command line which start the server, or something ?

1. split the mod into 2 iwd files: 1 for serversided (iwd A) and one (or more) for clientsided stuff (iwd B)
2. Make sure iwd A has svr in the name, preferably somewhere at the beginning, like zzz_svr_my_mod.iwd or smthing. Make sure that B does not have svr in the name: zzz_my_mod.iwd would suffice. Also, keep in mind that the zzz is only there to make it load the custom iwd after it loads the stock iwds, thus overwriting the existing files
3. Set sv_allowdownload to 0. This way, players cannot download any files directly from your server.
4. Set up a www/http redirect, lets say you have the main folder for the mappacks and the fs_game "my_mod" (warning: no spaces in your fs_game!). Create a folder on your http redirect (assuming you have www.mysite.com), like www.mysite.com/redirects/cod2/. Now, create a folder called "my_mod" (or whatever your fs_game is called) there, and one called "main". Copy the mappacks to the "main" one, and the client!!!! mod to the "my_mod". Do not upload the server side mod.
5. Set sv_allowwwwdownload to 1
6. Set sv_wwwbaseurl to (in this case) "http://www.mysite.com/redirects/cod2"

7. Done.

Thx IzNoGod !

So, I had done the different steps. But I still have a problem :
The server is started. But when a client connect, the map is loading, and when the loading bar is at approximately 90%, I hear the map sounds, and immediately after the map reload. And again and again, indefinitely.

When I remove my zzz_mymod.iwd file from the main directory of my server, it's ok, but I don't have my scripts anymore, of course, so no mod.

If I make a .iwd file with all my files (.gsc included), uploaded in my mod folder, it works, but it is not a server side mod. So, I think my files are not the source of the problem.

Had you ever have this problem of map that is loading in loop ?

EDIT :
IT WORKS !!! [jumping]
I had 3 .iwd files for client side, and 1 for server side.
I packed my 3 files in 2, and now it works ! Don't know why ? [confused]

Thanks a lot, IzNoGod YouAreMyGod ! [thumbs_up]
