I thought I would work on my minimap while I wait for help on the fx problem.

When I go into the game and type the /set scr_minimap_corner_height 10000 I get nothing.

Then I type /exec minimap, I get the look from at the end of the barrel of the gun.

What is wrong here?

Could anyone help me with this one?

Map is done now and still no help with this, any help would be great.

You need to look for help a little dude. There must be at least 100 posts on the very subject of the COD4 Minimap :)

BTW, I have looked at a lot of posts but nothing I seen talked about looking from the end of the barrel of your gun!

OK, I tried the way this tut said and it won't like me add the lines to the properties section, it says invalid path.

I have also tried running this map from my Mod Server and it tells me that it is part of a cheat and is disabled.

Now in the Compile Tools-- I'm running the map with all boxes checked and the custom line "+set fs_game Mods/ModWarfare"

The map plays fine but just don't let me run the set scr_minimap_corner_height 10000 or the exec minimap.

I get nothing with the minimap corner but when I type the exec minimap it switches to looking from the tip of the barrel of the gun and nothing else.

Dude, if you cant edit a Windows Shorcut, a COD4 map is going to be tough :)

Joking aside, google windows shorcut or tell us the version of windows you run...

yes I know how to edit a shortcut, but the properties section doesn't let me add these lines.

I have 12 servers and have edited shortcuts.
So why can't I do this thru the tools like every other tut shows? It even shows different on this site's tut.

You just have to add the shortcut to the end of the executable, after or inside the "" - that depends on your version of windows, thats why i asked ;)

Most of the tut's were made for CoD2 and some confunsion can happen. This command:

/set scr_minimap_height

It does not work in CoD4 mp, unless you are running the AWE mod. The easiest way (for me) is to create a copy of my .map, then rename it as if it were an SP map, remove all MP entities, compile and build like normal, then follow the tut, now you have your minimap image.
