ok im using mp_overgrown dusk, but it still to light for my map,
i tried one of the night maps, but they way to dark, this would mean me putting like `1000_ lights into my map, which i dont realy want to do if i can.
Question is how do i make Overgrown darker.???
here is the codes as they are.
Quote:
"radiosityScale" "2"
"diffusefraction" "0.25"
"_color" "0.46 0.64 0.61"
"sunlight" "1.1"
"sundirection" "-147 119 0"
"sundiffusecolor" "0.80 0.88 0.94"
"suncolor" "0.84 0.81 0.58"
"ambient" ".10"
would i need to altar Sunlight from 1.1 down to .5 or something.???
on the nigh maps i can use night light by pressing 'N' but i dont want that either, so whats the best option for me to use, i want a map that is darker than dusk, but not Night.??? As it stands the cavens i have in my map, which is most of the map way to light and i cant see the lights im using to light up the tunnels now, i think the sky i had befor messing with the skybox was Convoy, i could use that and see the lights ok, but the cave was still to light, i thoiught overgrown would be darker, but it's not.. convoy would be my main choice, if i use covoy again which would i need to change on that to make it darker.?
Here is convoys codes.?
Quote:
"diffusefraction" "0.1"
"sundiffusecolor" ".75 .84 1"
"sundirection" "-30 -340 0"
"suncolor" ".85 .76 .53"
"sunlight" "1.6"
"ambient" "0.3"
"_color" ".75 .84 1"
which is the better one to use, oh i also have thunder/lightning & rain on my map alone with many locations with Burning barrels, and lose fires...

ok thanks, i try that, as i do want it a btt darker, i know cavens are dark, but i dont want them to dark as people will need to see the jump platforms, the cavens are way to bright right now, and dont make fire give good effects..
Is there any other map i should look at that give a light dark envroment

i would reduce the radiosityScale to 1.3, or .75 to help, you would have less shadow, and darker, diffusefraction to 0.15, suncolor, and sundiffusecolor maybe bright yellow, with a dim yellow diffuze, its a little harder to play with the color, but my tilldusk map i had change it to sun soft orange, and amber, diffuze made a nice sun set look, your ambient is how bright it is in caves and buildings that the sun does not directly see

"suncolor" "0.84 0.81 0.58"
"ambient" ".10"
sunlight controls light brightness of your world, this changes ruffly, lighting throughout world, and the rest tune your world settings

strange, i changed from Farm skybox to Cargo, to wetwork then to another, each giving me bright screens, and also finding out i radiant was not saving parts of my map, and giving me issues where you can see though parts of walls, i got so mad i gave up, and had a game of OPs with a friend on COD 5, later i decided to give the map 1 more try, and when i gave it a quick test, i found the missing parts was where they was, and the sky was DARK, and i was able to make it lighter on another compile...
Not sure why these problems happened, but somethink sorted itself out somehow....
Sky is now dark, caven wa Dark to,but ive upped the sunlight by 1 point and added a few light sticks and cave is near what i want it, enought light to see the jumps, but ligt looks a little kind od dullish. misty looking.?
