Hi,

What I know:
The .prt file contains the portal information which you'd use in conjunction with the portal viewer plugin. Unless you add a compile option to your projects file with the -saveprt switch, the .prt file is automatically deleted. [Anwulf]

How can I add this compile option ?

well, u seem to have the anwser already, but i imagine that the problem is where to put it since you are using the build menu from the editor...

i would suggest you make some custom compile bat files.

you make a custom bat file by making a textfile and changing the extension to '.bat'. and in this 'filename.bat' file you can put every bsp command you like. I can't tell you what to write exactly cause i dont know what other compile options you like. But since you know about the -saveprt you will probably figure it out.. heres a compile bat file i use .. it should give you an idea (the -saveprt has been included)

*change the location of radiant and compiler and your .map files according to your own system..
